About Junqi Arena
Junqi Arena is an online Four Nations Military Chess game built by Junqi fans. We grew up around this game, but when we looked for a good way to play Junqi online, it was surprisingly hard to find one. For a game with this much strategy, tension, memory, bluffing, and history, that felt wrong.
Why We Built This
Seeing Junqi slowly become harder to discover is painful. This site exists because we do not want the game to be forgotten. Our goal is to make Junqi easier to learn, easier to share, and easier to play online.
What You Can Do Here
- Learn the rules of Junqi and Four Nations Military Chess.
- Practice secret piece setup and formation planning.
- Play matches with bots while the online experience improves.
- Study movement, railway paths, ranks, combat, flags, mines, and bombs.
- Review games, replay moves, and build a better feel for hidden-information strategy.
Beta Notice
Junqi Arena is currently in beta. Rules explanations, visuals, matchmaking, tutorials, replays, and multiplayer features may continue to improve as the game develops.
Names And Variants
Different communities use different names and rule variants. This site uses Junqi as the main name and Four Nations Military Chess for the four-player team version implemented here. Related names include Jun Qi, Si Guo Jun Qi, Lu Zhan Qi, Luzhanqi, Army Chess, and Military Chess.
